When I think about local food, one really stands out: Bothwell Cheese.

Started in New Bothwell, Manitoba in 1936 by a group of local dairy farmers, Bothwell Cheese has grown steadily over the last 80 years from the small dairy cooperative to one of Canada’s largest independently owned cheese manufacturers.

In honor of their 80th birthday, Bothwell Cheese will be hosting two pop-up Mac and Cheese lunches in Downtown Winnipeg.

On October 19th and 21st, the first 100 people to arrive at the secret location will get a free Mac n’ Cheese lunch cooked by Chef Ben Kramer, Chef Harold Mitchell and crew.

Plus, the 80th person served will get a special prize!

(Will it be cheese? PLEASE, TELL ME IT WILL BE CHEESE!!)

How do you find out where to go? The locations will be announced each morning at 7:00am on their Twitter and Instagram.

“We are very excited to treat our fans to a #BothwellBreak,” says Megan Deaust, Manager of Product Marketing for Bothwell Cheese. “We recognize that there are a lot of cheese options out there and we genuinely appreciate that so many people choose to feed their family and friends Bothwell. We want to thank them for their support by putting delicious food in their bellies.”
