When you’re sitting on the patio enjoying the sun, the last thing you want to think about is how itchy your eyes are and how your nose WONT STOP RUNNING!

While it’s been proven that alcohol worsens symptoms of hayfever and asthma, Asthma UK has revealed that a switch to clear spirits like gin and vodka could be better for you than other boozy drinks.

It’s because, darker fermented beverages like red wine and beer contain histamine and sulphites. These two triggering chemicals can worsen your allergies, making you feel like a sniffling, itchy pile of garbage during allergy season.

Clear spirits on the other hand, have a relatively low histamine content.

So you know what that means, right? next time you’re getting ready to get your drink on, order yourself a G&T or a vodka soda!
