Meghan Markle has made no secret of her love for food, from a slew of delectable Instagram posts before she shuttered her account to the very fact that Prince Harry proposed over a home-cooked roast chicken. During her seven years as Rachel Zane on Suits, Meghan took great pleasure in exploring Toronto’s food scene – from restaurants like Bar Isabel to her favourite bakery, Blackbird Baking Co. But after growing up in California, one thing the royal bride-to-be craved wasn’t in great supply: acai bowls.

As luck would have it, Revitasize opened just down the street from Meghan’s gym, Catalyst, serving up her favourite organic post-workout snack. We popped by to get the recipe, which consists of a base of blended fruit topped with more fruit, coconut, nuts and seeds. YUM! In this excerpt from our Meghan’s Toronto documentary (see the full video here!), take a closer look at the actress’s acai bowl and the intense workout that left her in need of some serious fuel!

Juicing is a big component of Meghan’s holistic and healthy lifestyle, and she’s said that green juice is a better pick-me-up than coffee. So it’s no surprise that she’s such a fan of acai bowls. After moving across the pond ahead of her May 19 royal weddingHARRY: Life, Loss and Love author and royal expert Katie Nicholl revealed to Entertainment Tonight that the 36-year-old’s healthy lifestyle has been rubbing off on her 33-year-old fiance. Perhaps the loved-up pair indulges in a couple’s acai bowl at Nottingham Cottage each morning!
