Whatcha Up To On Wednesday?

The weather this week is gorgeous so there’s no reason to spend your evenings cooped up indoors. Especially when there is such an awesome event happening at Assiniboine Park combining recipes from the city’s best chefs with beautiful art.

The Art of Good Food

This Wednesday (June 15) nine talented Winnipeg Chefs will be donating their time and some of their tastiest recipes for an awesome fundraiser. The Art of Good Food raises money for NorWest Co-op Community Health which provides programs and services to help people in the community live happier, healthier lives. They are the only healthcare co-operative in Manitoba and provide counselling services, early learning and childcare programs, and more to benefit people here in Winnipeg.

I know firsthand how good each of these Chefs are, so this is an opportunity to try a smorgasbord of food, normally featured in many different restaurants, all in one place.

Participating chefs include:

Ben Kramer – ChefBenKramer.com
Mandel Hitzer – deer + almond
Eraj Jayawickreme – The Fairmont Winnipeg
Kyle Lew – Chew
Talia Syrie – The Tallest Poppy
Norm Pastorin – The Cornerstone Bar and Restaurant
Aron Epp – Peg Beer Co.
Heiko Duehrsen – Assiniboine Park Conservancy
Grant Mitchell – NorWest Co-op Community Food Centre
