Best (And Worst) Co-Worker Team Building Events

The KiSS 102.3 office is heading out for a teaming-building event this week, the annual company golf tournament! While not everyone necessarily loves golf everyone does like hanging out together so this is an easy way for everyone to chat outside of work and learn more about each other’s personalities.

These events can be a LOT of fun! Here are a few ideas you and your co-workers can bond by enjoying some activities right here in Winnipeg.

Escape Room

These are always fun and these rooms are getting more and more popular in our city. If you go to Enigma Escapes they actually can have a professional psychologist monitor your group to see how everyone works as a team and give you a debrief after to talk about best practices for how everyone should work together.

Golf Dome

This was a SUPER fun place for a company retreat when I went a few years ago. We all had instruction from a golf pro on the driving range (none of us were avid golfers) so we were all equally bad but got to learn together. We were challenged to teach a co-workers one of the tips that the golf pro taught us to improve each other’s swing. Afterwards we sat around and played pool, ate pizza, and enjoyed some virtual golf and did a “longest drive” competition.

Paint Ball

This may not be a great idea for everyone (paint balls hurt…don’t believe anyone who says they don’t), but there are a lot of good places to check out in the city. Paintball Paradise on the North Perimeter between Main and McPhillips has a pretty great course with different structures to use for cover. Splatters Paintball near Steinbach is awesome because they  have a bunch of old cars, a castle, and even an old army helicopter to use as part of your paintball game. Bonus if you go here they’re right by the New Bothwell cheese factory so you can pick up some cheese curds to snack on for the ride home!
