It was only last week that Nintendo announced plans to release a mini-NES Classic console in November, pre-loaded with 30 iconic games from our childhood. Now it’s Sega’s turn!

Today, its old rival Sega – is joining the nostalgia party. Sega and AtGames are planning to release the Sega Mega Drive Classic (or as we call it in North America: the Sega Genesis), in Europe this October. The new console will celebrate the 25th anniversary of “Sonic the Hedgehog.” The new Sega system will come with 80 built-in games like Sonic the Hedgehog and Vector Man. Unlike the NES classic, this 2016 Sega console will let you to play many of your original SEGA cartridges (if there still somewhere, in a box collecting dust, like in your parents’ basement?)

I was never a HUGE Sega fan, was more of a Nintendo guy until the Playstation came along.

Will you be picking up the new classic Sega console??
