It only seems fitting that the first trailer for “A Dog’s Purpose” would be released yesterday, on National Dog Day.

Josh Gad once played quite possibly the most lovable snowman ever, Olaf… from a little movie called Frozen but now we get to see hear him voice the voice of a lovable dog or, rather, multiple dogs, in A Dog’s Purpose. We get a glimse at Gad voicing a reincarnated canine who touches the lives of his many owners and finds the meaning in his own life. G

Based on W. Bruce Cameron’s 2010 best-selling novel of the same, the film also features Dennis Quaid. Lasse Hallström (The Cider House Rules, Dear John) directs.

A Dog’s Purpose hits theaters January 27, 2017.
