When Singers Act

Billy Joe Armstrong is making his acting debut, and it actually looks kinda good! The Green Day frontman is playing the lead role in an honest-to-goodness, full-on, theatrically-released romantic comedy!

Fronting A Band, Now Fronting A Film

While sometimes the transition from musician to actor can be rough (**cough**Glitter**cough**) Billy Joe Armstrong isn’t too far out of his element here. The Green Day singer plays an aging rocker who is trying to settle into a normal work and family routine as his band is on an indefinite hiatus. Fortunately, Billie Joe can lean on the acting chops of co-star Selma Blair to keep this one on the rails. The movie was first screened back in April at the Tribeca Film Festival and Universal picked up the rights for a winder distribution. You’ll be able to see the movie in select theatres October 14th.

What do you think? Is this one worth a watch?
