Lucid Dreams

Sleeping is great, but can be a little unproductive. I mean, you don’t get to do much other than sleep. But what if while you were sleeping you could go on an adventure through the Amazon jungle? Master the art of public speaking and conquer your fears? Or just eat all the pizzas and cheeseburgers your body could hold without paying for it later? A new Kickstarter project wants to help you gain control of your dreams!

The iBand+ Kickstarter project can help you experience lucid dreams.

iBand+

The iBand+ Headband is a Kickstarter project that introduces a nighttime wearable. Basically you put this thing on before you go to bed. It measures your brain activity to figure out when you’re dreaming, then uses a series of lights, not bright enough to wake you up, but bright enough to make you aware that you are dreaming. The idea is if you recognize you are dreaming, then you’ll be able to take control of your dreams and do what you want. This headband could be helpful for people who have intense nightmares, by allowing them to redirect their dreams to a happier place.

The iBand+ app can show you how much time you spend in each phase of sleep.

What Else?

Not interested in lucid dreams? That’s cool. iBand+ also can play music tailored to help you fall asleep and because the headband measures your brain activity, you can track detailed results of your night’s rest. The companion app can show you how much time you spend in each phase of slumber, providing a clear picture of your sleeping habits.

The iBand+ has surpassed its funding goal and sells for about $165 while the Kickstarter campaign is live.
