How’d you like to spend your Halloween in a centuries-old castle on the lookout for Dracula? This spooky situation could actually happen thanks to a very special Airbnb contest!

Located in the hills of what was then called Transylvania a gloomy castle was built with towering spires in the hills of the Carpathian mountains. It is rumoured that this very castle  was a source of inspiration for author Bram Stoker and he used it as the home of one of the scariest creatures from fiction of all time: Dracula!

The castle is now a museum and Bran Castle sees thousands of visitors a year. However, Dacre Stoker, one of the descendants of the author is offering a very special opportunity for people to have the spookiest Halloween experience ever! The castle will serve as an Airbnb destination for two people on Halloween night. The contest is now open on the Airbnb website and guests will experience a visit fit for a vampire. A horse-drawn carriage will carry you to this ominous castle. You will dine on an iron-rich menu, and finish your night by sleeping in a red, velvet-lined coffin, just like Dracula!

In addition to the regular contest rules guests are being asked to refrain from bringing garlic, silver, or any other trinkets that could be disrespectful should you run into Dracula himself during your stay. Also, no mirror selfies. Vampires do not have a reflection in mirrors and you never know what you might see (or NOT see) when you spend the night in Dracula’s castle.
