‘OK Not to Be OK’ was released in partnership with not-for-profit agency, Hope for the Day which, according to NME, “Raises awareness and conversation around suicide prevention and mental health education.”  Their new single was also released on World Suicide Prevention Day (Sept.10).

In a press release, issued by Hope for the Day founder Jonny Boucher, he shares, “Marshmello and Lovato will be using their respective platforms to uplift others and help provide resources for those that need it most as part of the partnership with Hope for the Day.  We are excited to be teaming up with Demi Lovato and Marshmello on this project to break the stigma around mental health on world suicide prevention day.  Hope for the Day’s work in suicide prevention and mental health education thrives when we collaborate with others and what better than two of the largest artists in the world to work with on a track that reminds everyone, it’s OK not to be OK.”

‘OK Not to Be OK’ was written by Gregory “Aldae” Hein, James Gutch and James Nicholas Bailey.  The record was also accompanied by a new music video, directed by Hannah Lux Davis.

Reminder – all you need is somebody to say …

It’s OK not to be OK.
