In Oct 2021, Google launched their new Pixel 6 phones. These set a new bar for power and style in the Pixel lineup. The Pixel 6 has a great balance of features for the everyday user. But the Pixel 6 Pro is an absolute beast and can do things that no other Pixel can do. From a battery that lasts longer than 24 hours, to its incredibly powerful camera array, and it’s magic-like artificial intelligence features, the Pixel 6 Pro is hands-down the most advanced phone Google has ever made.

Pixel 6 Pro: Real-World Usage

Pixel-6-Pro-Gaming
Gaming on the Pixel 6 Pro is a beautiful experience thanks to the large 6.7 inch screen and 120 hz refresh.

For everyday use, the biggest improvements you’ll notice in the Pixel 6 Pro are with the screen, the battery life, and the cameras. The screen automatically adapts to whatever you’re doing to strike a balance between power and battery saving. For example, if you’re playing a game or watching an action movie, the screen can adjust to a higher refresh rate (up to 120 hz) so that everything looks clear and gorgeous. But if you’re reading an ebook or staring at an email, the phone can go down to a 10 hz refresh rate to save battery.

The photography skills (as demonstrated in the video above) are incredible. The Magic Eraser tool recognizes unwanted elements in a photo (like people in the background) and can automatically remove them. Plus there are improvements to add artistic blur to photos, match skin tones more accurately, and unblur faces. The video quality is incredible. And the stabilization counters any wobbly camera grip you may have as your hands shake while recording.

Finally, the battery will keep up with you all day long. More in fact. Even when connected to 5G, you can get more than 24 hours of battery life. And when it’s time to charge the Pixel 6 Pro you can use a USB C cable or a compatible Qi (wireless) charger. In extreme battery saver mode you can get 48 hours of battery life. But you’ll lose a lot of the cool functions you would likely want to use regularly on the Pixel 6 Pro.
