Dua Lipa Dropped by The Tonight Show to Chat About Her 'Lazy' Dance That Went Viral In 2018

While on The Tonight Show to promote her Future Nostalgia tour, Dua Lipa chatted about her ‘lazy’ dance that went viral in 2018, and for the wrong reasons.

Dua told Jimmy Fallon, “It was kind of like, ‘Oh, she looks like she’s trying to put her shoe on in a rush or something.’  There was a moment where actually it caused me a lot of grief.  Like, I was being bullied online, it wasn’t very nice. But now I’m like, you know, I can look at it from a different perspective. I look back on it with such fondness ’cause it helped me grow into the artist I wanted to become. It made me work harder. I went in, I did more rehearsal, I just wanted to become a real performer, and I think that was kind of the thing that I needed to [do so].”

And while on The Tonight Show, Dua surprised super fan Papa Richy, an 80-year-old grandfather who went viral on TikTok after he received tickets to Dua’s Future Nostalgia tour.  Thanks to his granddaughter Kadie Bernstein, Papa Richy’s video now has over 7.8 million views on the platform.
