In the days leading up to the announcement, Jennifer’s social media went dark, which lead fans to believe a big announcement was on the way – and they were right.  To celebrate, the actress and singer recreated the cover of her 2002 album, which transforms into 2022 J.Lo.

According to a press release, Jennifer’s new project “chronicles the emotional, spiritual and psychological journey that she has taken over the past two decades.  This album is a philosophy, a reflection, a zeitgeist moment.  It’s about hope, faith and true love never dying.  The multihyphenate’s ninth studio album marks her return to writing and producing, and showcases a vulnerability never shown before, while merging her powerhouse vocals with both confessional songs and upbeat celebrations of love.”

The album features 13 songs including the title track and ‘Dear Ben pt. II,’ plus ‘Midnight Trip to Vegas,’ which references the couple’s first marriage ceremony.

Last year, Jennifer shared a throwback post in honour her 2002 project, which is home to songs like ‘Jenny From the Block,’ ‘I’m Glad,’ ‘All I Have,’ and ‘Baby I Love U!’  “All of my albums are very special to me, but This Is Me … Then is my favorite album I’ve ever done … so far!” she wrote in the caption.

This Is Me…Now is the follow-up to her 2014 release, A.K.A, and will be released sometime in 2023.
