Details

Pride Winnipeg is celebrated annually at the end of May through the first weekend of June, bringing our 2SLGBTQ+ community and its allies together to celebrate during a series of Pride events.

KiSS 102.3 is proud to support the 2024 Pride Winnipeg Festival, May 24th to June 2nd, 2024!

This year’s theme is: “Transcend Together”, It embodies the collective strength and unity within the queer community. It emphasizes the empowerment and resilience of trans individuals, advocating for the protection of trans rights and the celebration of their unique identities. This theme embraces inclusivity, highlighting the diverse spectrum of identities within the queer community and fostering solidarity among all members. It draws inspiration from the resilience of the community throughout history, emphasizing that together, we transcend barriers and stand strong in support of one another

The week long celebration includes the GSRD (Gender, Sexual, and Relationship Diverse) community and allies getting together for a series of Pride events around the City, including:

  • MILESTONE EVENTS: Flag Raising – May 24th @ City Hall, Vigil – May 26th @ Memorial Park, Festival at the Forks – June 1st & 2nd and Rally & Parade – June 2nd starting at Memorial Park and ended at The Forks
  • COMMUNITY EVENTS: On average, Pride Season counts with more than 45 events organized by our community.
  • PERFORMERS: Every year, singers, dancers, drag queens, comedians, and other performers help us celebrate Pride every year.
